Drone drops explosive devices on Russian peacekeeping fleet in Transnistria
A drone has dropped two explosive devices on the territory of the Russian peacekeepers fleet in Transnistria.
"An unidentified aircraft (drone) dropped two explosive devices, presumably RGD-5 grenades, on the territory of the vehicle fleet of the reserve unit of the Pridnestrovie peacekeeping contingent near the settlement of Vladimirovka at about 5:10 a.m. on June 5," Gazeta.ru reports, quoting the investigative committee of the self-proclaimed "Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic" (PMR).
The "PMR" investigation committee ruled out any casualties or property damage as a result of the attack. It initiated a criminal investigation under the article "sabotage."
Russian troops have been stationed in Transnistria since 1992, with a peacekeeping contingent and an operational group. Chisinau wants an OSCE-mandated civilian international mission to replace Russian soldiers.
