Eco-activists demand to stop eco-terrorism 97 days on Khankendi-Lachin road
A rally on the Khankendi-Lachin road against the illegal exploitation of minerals in Azerbaijan’s Karabakh economic region has been going on for 97 days.
Eco-activists, as during the first days of the rally, are still active. The rally, which began on the morning of December 12, 2022, continued on March 18 morning. The rally participants continue showing will and perseverance, a journalist from Report news agency informs from the scene.
The rally participants are provided with a place to sleep, as well as hot meals.
During the rallies, safety rules are observed, and no incidents were observed during the night.
Eco-activists traditionally started the day by performing the National Anthem of Azerbaijan, as well as patriotic songs.
Volunteers and activists, taking part in the rallies, are chanting the following slogans: “Azerbaijan is the owner of its mineral resources!”, “Stop environmental crimes!”, “Stop ecoterrorism!”, “Protect nature!”, “No Ecocide! “Yes to monitoring!” and do not hamper the movement of vehicles in both directions.
The security of the rally participants at a high level is ensured by the servicemen of the Internal Troops of the Azerbaijani Interior Ministry and the police attracted to the territory.
