Erdoğan: War in Ukraine poses threat to trade in Black Sea
The Russian-Ukrainian war has escalated to a level that poses a serious threat to trade in the Black Sea, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said during a briefing on Türkiye’s export performance for 2025.
Erdoğan stated that the conflict, which has been ongoing for four years, has resulted in hundreds of thousands of people being killed or wounded and has left many others displaced. He warned that the continued fighting now risks disrupting vital maritime trade routes in the Black Sea, Caliber.Az reports via Turkish media.
According to the Turkish president, Ankara is taking the necessary measures to prevent further damage to regional trade and security. He noted that Türkiye seeks an end to the war through a just and lasting peace.
