Ex-US official issues stark warning to Iran over crackdown on protesters
Marshall S. Billingslea, former US Special Envoy and Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for Terrorist Financing, has sharply criticized Iran’s clerical leadership for ignoring calls from President Donald Trump to halt the killing of protesters.
“The mullahs in Tehran have clearly decided to ignore President Trump’s repeated warnings to not kill protestors,” Billingslea wrote on X, Caliber.Az reports.
“They are soaking their hands in blood,” Billingslea noted.
He added ominously, “I suspect they may soon ‘find out,’” without specifying the nature of the consequences he anticipated.

They are soaking their hands in blood.
I suspect they may soon “find out.”
