Extraordinary summit of presidents of Organisation of Turkic States Live relay
An extraordinary summit of the heads of state of the Organisation of Turkic States is being held in Türkiye’s capital Ankara.
This event in Ankara was initiated by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, according to Caliber.Az.
So, earlier the summit was planned to be held in Shusha.
However, President Aliyev proposed holding a summit in Ankara in connection with the earthquake in Türkiye in support of the fraternal country.
After coordination with the leadership of other member states, an appropriate decision was made.
The issues related to the development of cooperation in the fight against natural disasters and humanitarian assistance are being discussed at the summit.
Azerbaijan was one of the countries that rendered the biggest support in connection with the latest earthquakes in fraternal Türkiye.
The total amount of humanitarian and financial assistance rendered by Azerbaijan to Türkiye from February 6 through March 15 is 76,344,930 manats ($44,908,782).
