Azerbaijan invites Georgian FM to Baku, vows to deepen bilateral ties
Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has extended an official invitation to his Georgian counterpart Maka Bochorishvili to visit Azerbaijan, as the two sides pledged to strengthen cooperation across multiple sectors.
Speaking at a joint press conference in Tbilisi, Bayramov said Baku remains committed to further deepening ties with Georgia, underlining the significant potential for enhanced collaboration, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
“Azerbaijan is committed to developing cooperation with Georgia, given the great potential in this area,” the minister stated.
He noted that the coming months and years would see “more targeted steps” taken to boost bilateral ties, particularly in areas such as tourism and infrastructure.
Highlighting one of the key areas for expansion, Bayramov pointed to the countries’ shared geography as a natural advantage: “The advantageous geographical location of our countries makes the implementation of joint tourism projects even more relevant,” he added.
