Azerbaijan introduces visa-free travel for Hong Kong passport holders
Azerbaijan has eased entry requirements for holders of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) passports by introducing a limited-time visa-free regime.
According to a press release from the HKSAR government, HKSAR passport holders will be able to visit Azerbaijan without a visa up to three times, with a stay of up to 30 days per entry, from February 2, 2026, to February 2, 2027, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
“Azerbaijan is a country of the ‘Belt and Road’ initiative. Under this initiative, the visa-free arrangement will benefit HKSAR passport holders and help strengthen bilateral tourism, cultural, and economic ties,” said a representative of the HKSAR Immigration Department.
This measure brings Azerbaijan into the group of 175 countries and territories that currently provide HKSAR passport holders with visa-free or visa-on-arrival access.
