A delegation from the US House of Representatives Committee on Foreign Affairs visited Azerbaijan’s Milli Majlis (Parliament), to discuss the future of bilateral relations, regional cooperation, as well as the Trump Route initiative.
During the meeting, Samad Seyidov, Chairman of the Milli Majlis Committee on International Relations and Interparliamentary Affairs, reviewed the historical ties between Azerbaijan and the United States, ongoing collaborative projects, and the prospects for further development, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Parliament.
He emphasized that the shared ambition to elevate bilateral relations to the level of a strategic partnership is consistently reflected in both joint statements and practical initiatives.

The delegation discussed the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity, highlighting its potential to reshape Eurasia’s transport infrastructure and enhance regional connectivity, particularly with US support. Officials also stressed the significance of repealing Section 907 of the US Freedom Support Act, noting that such a move would bolster bilateral ties, reinforce mutual trust, and expand avenues for cooperation.
Members of the US delegation praised the recent evolution of Azerbaijani-American relations, noting that interparliamentary dialogue and bilateral cooperation have entered a new phase. They concluded that sustaining this positive trajectory aligns with the strategic interests of both nations.
