Federation head announces CIS archery competitions set for Khankendi

Next year, Khankendi will host archery competitions among CIS countries, according to Anar Guliyev, President of the Azerbaijan Archery Federation.

Guliyev made the announcement to reporters after the opening of the Azerbaijan Archery Championship and the Championship in Eurogames Park, Caliber.Az reports via local media.

Guliyev emphasized that this decision reflects Azerbaijan's broader efforts to promote and develop archery across the country. He noted that the federation is actively working to expand the sport by increasing the number of archery clubs and enhancing facilities to support athletes.

"We are committed to improving the conditions for our athletes, which will enable them to reach their full potential," Guliyev said. "Our goal is not only to foster growth in Baku but also to extend this development to other regions. The decision to hold these competitions in Khankendi, a city in the liberated territories, is particularly significant. It symbolizes our commitment to revitalizing and promoting sports in all areas of Azerbaijan."

Guliyev's comments highlight the federation's dedication to not only enhancing the sport of archery but also contributing to the broader development and recognition of Azerbaijan's regions.
