Azerbaijan uncovers remains of over 600 people in liberated lands
The remains of 602 individuals have been discovered in the Azerbaijani liberated territories.
The General Prosecutor's Office shared this information during a workshop in Baku dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Geneva Conventions, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
Some 120 individuals have been successfully identified.
Earlier, Director of the Forensic Medical Examination and Pathological Anatomy Association of the Azerbaijani Health Ministry Adalaat Hasanov said that there are currently bone remains of about 600 people in the liberated territories.
Hasanov noted that the examination has been partially completed, including the identification of the remains of some individuals.
"They have been handed over to relatives through the State Commission for Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing Citizens," he said.
