Finnish company to sell all assets in Russia
The Finnish state power grid company Fortum has opened a collection of binding offers for the sale of assets in Russia. Kommersant writes about this, citing sources.
PJSC "Fortum" is included in the division "Russia" of the Finnish corporation, Kommersant reports referring to its sources.
Fortum itself decided to leave the Russian market on May 12. As part of the decision, the company plans to sell Russian assets. At the same time, the sale of a subsidiary of Unipro PJSC will be resumed in the near future.
The newspaper says that according to Fortum's terms, the deal must be closed before July 1. Russian Inter RAO, structures of Gazprom and SUEK will apply for the purchase of companies.
In particular, Gazprombank is ready to buy out both the assets of Fortum and its subsidiary Unipro. For each asset, the bank can pay about $1.5-2 billion. However, Gazprom itself has not yet made a decision regarding the application, says one of the sources.
