Flooding affects hundreds of homes in Russia’s Dagestan

More than 760 residential buildings and 812 private plots remain flooded in Russia’s Dagestan region, according to th Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations.
The ministry said that across the region, 762 residential buildings, 812 private plots, and 76 sections of road are currently inundated across nine settlements in five municipalities, Caliber.Az reports via Russian media.
A total of 524 people, including 175 children, have been placed in 16 temporary accommodation centres.
Rescue teams from the Don Rescue Centre have been deployed to Dagestan to reinforce ongoing operations. The ministry said more than 100 personnel and around 30 pieces of equipment have been sent to support response efforts.
