Foreign diplomats conclude visit to Azerbaijan’s Kalbajar
Over 60 diplomats, including 20 ambassadors, have been given a comprehensive overview of the ongoing construction and reconstruction efforts in the Azerbaijani liberated lands.
The delegation was accompanied by Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of the Department of Foreign Policy Affairs of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan Hikmat Hajiyev, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
The first stop on their one-day tour was Sugovushan settlement in the Aghdara district. Diplomats and military attachés had the opportunity to see first-hand the restoration and reconstruction projects in Sugovushan.
They also visited the Sugovushan Recreation Park and were briefed that Sugovushan was one of the first settlements liberated from occupation. The delegation also visited significant infrastructure sites, including the Sugovushan and Sarsang reservoirs, as well as the newly commissioned Yukhari Vang hydroelectric power station. In the Kalbajar district, they explored the historical Khudavang Monastery Complex. The visit concluded with a tour of the construction progress of a new settlement and an educational complex in Kalbajar.
Additionally, diplomats observed the production process at the Istisu mineral water plant. The regular visits to Azerbaijan’s liberated territories are organised for members of the diplomatic corps in the country.
