Foreign minister: Armenia wants to use Azerbaijan's railroads
Armenian Foreign Minister has said that his country wants to use Azerbaij's railroad system.
"Peace is not just the absence of shooting. It is open borders, movement of goods and people. It is hard to call peace a situation in which Armenia remains in a blockade. Unblocking should also happen according to several principles, they are also known - sovereignty of countries over communications, equality and reciprocity.
If Azerbaijan has access to Armenian communications and railroads, Armenia should also be able to use Azerbaijan's railroads," Mirzoyan said at a joint press conference with the Greek counterpart on January 10, Caliber.Az reports citing Armenian media.
Regarding the negotiations, the Minister noted that they have always been direct. Some mediators assisted in the organization or tried to present proposals.
"We are interested in continuing the negotiation process. We expect that in the future Baku will agree to continue meetings and negotiations," the Minister concluded, noting the importance of Greece's offer to assist in this process.
