French foreign minister begins her visit to Georgia

French Minister of European and Foreign Affairs Catherine Colonna has visited Georgia.

The French foreign minister was met at Tbilisi International Airport by Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister Teimuraz Janjalia, First Channel of Georgia reported.

According to the Georgian Foreign Ministry, the French diplomat will hold a meeting with Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili during the visit, after which joint press statements will be made.

During her visit to Georgia, Catherine Colonna will also meet with Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili.

Foreign Minister of France will be received by Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili.

It should be noted that this is the first visit of the French Foreign Minister to Georgia since 2018.
