Fresh Israeli aid package to Ukraine targets critical water shortages
Israel is set to provide Ukraine with an additional humanitarian aid package, reinforcing its commitment to supporting the country amid its ongoing conflict with Russia.
The initiative was directed by Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar, Israeli Ambassador to Kyiv, Michael Brodsky stated, Caliber.Az reports.
As part of the forthcoming assistance, Israel will supply advanced water supply systems designed to address the acute water shortages affecting Ukrainian citizens in war-torn areas. These systems are particularly intended for deployment in the eastern regions of Ukraine, where critical infrastructure has been decimated due to prolonged hostilities.
The aid will be delivered via the Agency for International Development Cooperation (MASHAV), the foreign aid arm of Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The systems aim to restore access to clean and sustainable water in areas suffering from extensive damage and limited humanitarian access.
“Since the beginning of the war, Israel has already provided significant humanitarian assistance, including air and ground ‘bridges’ with supplies of food, medicine, and other essential equipment,” Ambassador Brodsky noted. He further highlighted that a fully operational field hospital was established during the initial months of the conflict, offering critical medical care to those in need. Additionally, Israel distributed hundreds of power generators in early 2025 to communities affected by continued shelling and infrastructure disruption.
The announcement comes as Ukraine continues to face mounting humanitarian challenges, with millions displaced and essential services under relentless strain due to Russia’s ongoing military aggression.
