From Ankara to Brussels: Trump's White House comeback sparks international reactions
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan congratulated Donald Trump on his victory in the US presidential election, sharing his message on social media platform X.
"I congratulate my friend Donald Trump, who after a tough battle, has once again been elected President of the United States," Erdogan wrote, per Caliber.Az.
He expressed hope that, with the American people’s mandate, a new era will strengthen Turkish-American relations and help address key global issues, particularly the Palestinian conflict and the Russia-Ukraine war.

Erdogan also conveyed his wish that Trump’s victory would benefit both Americans and the global community.
European Council President Charles Michel extended his own congratulations to Trump, emphasizing that while the EU values its alliance with the US, it will continue to pursue its independent strategic goals. "Congratulations to President-elect Donald Trump. The EU will pursue its course in line with the strategic agenda as a strong, united, competitive and sovereign partner while defending the rules-based multilateral system," he stated.

Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's Civil Contract party also commented, with Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan affirming that Trump’s election would not alter Armenia-US relations, which remain warm and strategically focused.
Meanwhile, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov responded cautiously, stating Russia would assess the US administration's actions rather than rely on campaign promises. "We are observing closely and will judge based on specific actions," he said, addressing Trump’s statements on potentially ending the conflict in Ukraine.
In Belarus, President Alexander Lukashenko remarked that a new US administration, regardless of leader, would not sway China from its path. "Neither Trump, Harris, nor Biden will divert the Chinese people," he commented during a ceremony in Minsk, thanking China for its assistance in building an Olympic-standard swimming facility.
Donald Trump was elected the 47th president of the United States on November 6, an extraordinary comeback for a former president who refused to accept defeat four years ago, sparked a violent insurrection at the US Capitol, was convicted of felony charges and survived two assassination attempts.
With a win in Wisconsin, Trump cleared the 270 electoral votes needed to clinch the presidency.
