Georgian, Armenian speakers discuss Azerbaijan–Armenia ties, regional stability
The Speaker of the Georgian Parliament, Shalva Papuashvili, held talks with the Chairman of the National Assembly of Armenia, Alen Simonyan, focusing on regional cooperation and developments in the South Caucasus.
During the meeting, both sides noted that frequent high-level exchanges and productive engagement between Georgia and Armenia reflect the steady advancement of their strategic partnership, Caliber.Az reports via Georgian media.
The discussions covered the strengthening of parliamentary ties, alongside cooperation in trade, economic relations and tourism.
The two officials also reviewed the broader situation in the South Caucasus, including the evolving relationship between Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as contacts between Armenia and Türkiye.
Both sides underscored the importance of these processes for fostering lasting peace and stability across the region.
