Georgian PM claims protests part of "foreign special operation"
Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has described the protests in the country as part of a “foreign special operation” aimed at undermining the country’s national interests.
According to Caliber.Az, Kobakhidze said the government had faced “five revolutionary attempts”, all of which he claimed were part of a single coordinated campaign orchestrated from abroad.
“I believe that what we are witnessing is a coordinated special operation against Georgia. The sabotage of 2020 and 2024, along with five attempted revolutions we have faced over the past four years, have all been part of a foreign-led special operation,” he said.
Kobakhidze also accused several opposition parties — including the United National Movement, Ahali, Lelo, and Gakharia – For Georgia — of taking part in this alleged foreign-backed effort.
"They were all involved together in a foreign operation against Georgia’s national interests," Prime Minister stated.
