Global media attempting to shift political agenda against Azerbaijan Social Research Center official says

Ilyas Huseynov, head of the internal policy analysis sector at Social Research Center, has asserted that world media are actively trying to alter the political agenda to undermine Azerbaijan.

He made these remarks during discussions on "Hybrid threats against COP29" held in the Azerbaijani Parliament, Caliber.Az reports citing local media.

Huseynov noted that the recent attacks on Baku are linked to the upcoming COP29 conference, as certain developed nations aim to evade new financial commitments related to climate action. He pointed out that the previous target for climate finance was set at $100 billion until 2020, but discussions now aim to raise that figure to $1 trillion.

"The focus on financial issues at the COP29 conference in Baku has the potential to yield significant outcomes, which has raised concerns among some countries," Huseynov added.
