“Go and negotiate with Azerbaijan” Armenian journalist turns to Garabagh junta
The Garabagh-based radical journalist Tatul Hakobyan has appealed to the leaders of the illegal junta in Khankendi with a demand to come to an agreement with the Azerbaijani authorities.
“According to my information from Garabagh, the Azerbaijani military broke through the defence line and advanced in the direction of Martuni [Khojavend] and Askeran. The ‘Defence Army’ is waging bloody, unequal battles,” Caliber.Az quotes Hakobyan as saying on his Facebook page.
“Dear authorities of Armenia and Garabagh, enter into negotiations and save our compatriots, stop being afraid to make decisions. Go and negotiate with Azerbaijan,” the journalist demanded.
Hostilities returned to the Garabagh region of Azerbaijan on September 19 after the Azerbaijan Armed Forces launched a local anti-terrorist operation following intensified provocations by the illegal Armenian armed formations stationed in the region.
The operation came on the heels of the incidents that resulted in injuries and deaths on the Azerbaijani side. Deadly mine incidents in the Khojavand district on the morning of September 19 killed four police officers and two road construction workers. While, later on the same day, two servicemen of the Azerbaijani army stationed in the Aghdam district were wounded by the Armenian armed gangs located in the Azerbaijani territories temporarily monitored by the Russian peacekeeping contingent.
