"Great Return": Azerbaijan relocates 92 families to Aghdam PHOTO/Updated
Azerbaijan has continued the return of former internally displaced persons to territories liberated from occupation as part of the “Great Return” programme, in line with instructions from President Ilham Aliyev.
The latest group of returnees, who departed for the town of Aghdam on April 21, has now arrived at their destination, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
In this vein, 92 families comprising 332 people were resettled in Aghdam, reuniting them with their homeland.

Azerbaijan has continued its resettlement programme to liberated territories, with a new group of families relocating to the city of Aghdam as part of the government’s “Great Return” initiative.
The latest phase of relocation includes 92 families, totaling 332 people, who had been temporarily housed in hostels, sanatoriums, and administrative buildings across the country, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
The programme is being implemented in line with instructions from President Ilham Aliyev, focusing on the gradual return of formerly internally displaced persons to their native lands.
Residents who have returned to Aghdam expressed gratitude to President Aliyev and First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva for comprehensive state support during the resettlement process.
They also paid tribute to the Azerbaijani armed forces for their role in liberating the territories from ocupation and honoured those who lost their lives during the war.
