“Great Return”: New group of former IDPs departs for Azerbaijan’s Jabrayil
Another group of formerly displaced families has departed for Shukurbeyli village in Azerbaijan’s Jabrayil district as part of the ongoing “Great Return” initiative, according to local media.
The resettlement process, carried out in line with instructions from President Ilham Aliyev, continues to facilitate the return of citizens to territories liberated from occupation.
The families moving to Shukurbeyli had previously lived in temporary accommodations across various regions of the country, primarily in dormitories, sanatoriums, and administrative buildings.
At this stage, a total of 39 families, comprising 165 individuals, have been resettled in the village.
Residents returning to their native land expressed gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva for comprehensive state support. They also thanked the Azerbaijani army, its soldiers and officers who liberated the territories, and honoured the memory of those who lost their lives in the line of duty.
