Hungarian FM visits Moscow for energy talks
Hungary's Minister of Foreign Affairs and External Economic Relations Peter Szijjártó has arrived in Moscow for talks on energy.
According to Kommersant, he is scheduled to meet with Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandr Novak and Rosatom CEO Alexei Likhachev.
"Today in Moscow we will discuss critical issues of cooperation to ensure the security of Hungary's energy supply," Szijjártó wrote on Facebook.
According to him, forecasters predict a cold winter for 2023-2024. In this regard, he said, Hungary needs an uninterrupted supply of oil, gas and nuclear fuel.
"To fulfil these three conditions, uninterrupted Hungarian-Russian cooperation is necessary. This is not a question of political preferences, but of physics", Szijjártó said.
He accompanied his post with a photo of his arrival at a Moscow airport.
