Hungary affirms readiness to contribute to Karabakh reconstruction
Hungary has reaffirmed its strong support for Azerbaijan's territorial integrity and expressed its readiness to participate in the reconstruction of liberated territories in Karabakh, Hungarian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Tamás Torma announced during an official visit to Nakhchivan.
Ambassador Torma revealed that the Hungarian construction company KÉSZ Group will lead the reconstruction of Soltanli village in Jabrayil district, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
The project includes the construction of residential housing for approximately 6,000 people, as well as a school, which will be built with financial backing from the Hungarian government.
“We regularly participate in the ‘Rebuilding Karabakh’ exhibitions and are ready to showcase innovative solutions from the Hungarian construction sector. Our joint efforts to rebuild the region further strengthen the strategic ties between our countries,” the ambassador stated.
He also recalled Hungary’s early and active support in the post-conflict recovery process, noting that his country was the first to offer financial assistance for demining operations in 2021. Since then, Hungary has maintained a strong presence in international initiatives aimed at facilitating the safe and sustainable restoration of Karabakh.
