IDF targets Iran’s financial hubs funding regional proxies
The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) said it carried out strikes targeting what it described as financial and command infrastructure used by Iranian-linked forces, including facilities associated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in Tehran.
The operation was announced by the IDF Spokesperson’s Office, which said the Israeli Air Force acted under the direction of its Intelligence Directorate to hit sites it identified as central military headquarters involved in managing budgets and funding activities across the region.

“The Air Force attacked, under the direction of the Intelligence Directorate, central military headquarters of the Revolutionary Guards in Tehran last night (Wednesday), which were used to manage the budgets of the security agencies and finance terrorist activity around the world.
For years, the Revolutionary Guards have exploited numerous budgets and funds that were channelled by the headquarters to two main efforts:
- Financing and strengthening the armed forces in Iran - producing thousands of ballistic missiles and weapons, which pose a threat to the citizens of the State of Israel and the entire world, at the expense of developing civilian infrastructure. In addition, these budgets were used to build the regime's armed forces, including the Internal Security Forces and the Basij, which murdered thousands of civilians during protests against the regime.
- Financing the proxies of the Iranian terrorist regime throughout the Middle East - the Revolutionary Guards and the Quds Force unit transferred huge sums to the regime's proxies in the Middle East. Over the years, the regime has transferred tens of billions of dollars to the terrorist organisations Hezbollah, Hamas, and the Houthi terrorist regime, which are responsible for murderous terrorist attacks against the State of Israel and around the world.
The IDF will continue to deepen the damage to all of the values and capabilities of the Iranian terrorist regime,” the statement reads.
