Indonesia condemns Israeli strikes in southern Lebanon, calls for diplomacy
The Indonesian government has strongly condemned Israeli attacks in southern Lebanon, stating that they violate international humanitarian law and UN Security Council Resolution 1701 (2006).
According to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Indonesia emphasised the importance of respecting Lebanon’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as the need to halt attacks on civilians and infrastructure. The statement called for a return to diplomatic dialogue to prevent further escalation and achieve peace.

Indonesia also expressed concern over the worsening situation in Beirut, along the “Blue Line,” and attacks on UN peacekeeping posts, which resulted in several injuries.
The government confirmed it is closely monitoring the safety of its “Garuda” contingent serving with UNIFIL, praising the professionalism and dedication of the peacekeepers in maintaining stability in southern Lebanon.
