Inside Azerbaijan’s Karabakh and East Zangezur transport expansion Roads leading to future and regional connectivity / PHOTO / VIDEO
The State Agency of Azerbaijan Automobile Roads has released updated information on large-scale infrastructure works carried out in Karabakh and East Zangezur, as well as ongoing and planned projects.
According to the agency, a total of 68 projects covering 3,878.1 km of roads are planned, Caliber.Az reports.
Construction has been completed on 30 road projects with a total length of 1,454.3 km, while work is currently ongoing on 38 projects covering 2,432.8 km.
A total of 48 tunnels with a combined length of 71.2 km are planned. Seven tunnels with a total length of 13.6 km have already been completed, while 41 tunnels covering 57.6 km are under construction.

In addition, 447 bridges with a total length of 9,581.6 meters are planned. So far, 392 bridges totalling 8,839.1 meters have been completed.
For viaducts, 16 structures with a total length of 3,871 meters are planned. Nine viaducts with a total length of 1,965 meters have already been completed.
Large-scale reconstruction of road infrastructure in Azerbaijan’s liberated territories is continuing.
