International tourists explore Jabrayil’s post-conflict landscape in landmark visit
Members of the renowned international travel club NomadMania have arrived in Azerbaijan’s Jabrayil district, eager to explore the region's rich history and post-conflict recovery.
Their first stop was a demining zone in the village of Mehdili, where they were given an insightful briefing by Gadir Namazaliyev, Head of the Operations Department at the Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA), Caliber.Az reports via local media.
Namazaliyev explained that after the liberation of Azerbaijani territories, demining was a top priority to ensure the safe return of internally displaced persons to their homes. The removal of mines and unexploded ordnance is seen as a vital step in revitalising the area and promoting long-term peace.
This marks the 13th group tour of international travellers to visit Azerbaijan’s liberated territories since the end of the Patriotic War.
Over the past five years, delegations from prominent travel organisations like ETIC, MTP, TCC, NomadMania, and others have visited Karabakh and East Zangezur, showcasing global interest in the region's recovery and potential.
