Iran holds mass funeral for 165 young lives lost in Minab attack PHOTO
In a somber ceremony in the city of Minab, Iran mourned 165 young women whose lives were cut short by what Iranian authorities described as an “aggressive attack by the United States and Israel,” Tasnim reports.
“These young women walked through life with dreams and hopes that were meant to lead them and the country to a bright future, but fate cut their journey short, leaving pain and sorrow in the hearts of their families,” the statement said.
Shiite religious leader Ayatollah Hossein Nouri Hamedani expressed gratitude to the Armed Forces of Iran and Hezbollah fighters “for their heroism in defending the people and territory of Iran,” emphasizing that their deeds showcase the strength of the Islamic system. He called on citizens to remain actively involved in defending the country, maintain prayer discipline, and follow the example of martyred leaders, Tasnim.
Following the death of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei, the media outlet KHAMENEI.IR invited the public to participate in a contest titled “A Word to My Martyred Leader,” allowing individuals to submit final messages or thoughts they wish to convey to the revolutionary leader.
