Iran's president signals optimism ahead of nuclear talks with US
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian expressed optimism regarding the upcoming indirect negotiations with the United States over Tehran’s nuclear program.
Speaking on state television, Pezeshkian said, “We see good prospects regarding the upcoming indirect negotiations with the US,” highlighting Tehran’s positive outlook ahead of the next round of talks.
The third round of these indirect consultations is scheduled to take place in Geneva on February 26. Iran’s Foreign Minister has already traveled to Switzerland to participate in the discussions, which aim to address ongoing concerns surrounding the country’s nuclear activities.
A senior American official earlier said that US envoy Steve Witkoff and US President Donald Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner are slated to meet with the Iranian delegation, led by Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, in Geneva on February 26.
