Iran war consequences extend into Europe, Erdoğan warns
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has told German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier that the consequences of the war in Iran are already extending into Europe and could worsen further.
According to the Turkish presidency’s press service, Erdogan stressed that tensions in the region are beginning to affect Europe and warned that without a peaceful approach, the damage from the conflict could increase significantly.

The leaders discussed the Türkiye-Germany bilateral relations as well as regional and global developments.

“President Erdoğan stated that Türkiye was making efforts, just as it did in relation to Iran, to bring the conflict to an end through negotiations and to achieve a lasting peace in the Ukraine-Russia war,” the press service added.
