Iranian FM to attend "3+3" platform meeting in Türkiye

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi will attend the meeting of the regional platform “3+3” in Türkiye, said Iran's ambassador to Ankara Mohammad Hassan Habibollahzadeh.

“The ambassador said that the third meeting of the 3+3 peace platform formed by Türkiye, Iran, Russia, Azerbaijan, Armenia and Georgia is scheduled to be held in Türkiye and that Iranian Foreign Minister Araqchi will also attend the meeting,” Caliber.Az reports, citing Turkish media.

The “3+3” platform implies broad cooperation of the six countries of the South Caucasus region (Russia, Türkiye, Iran, Azerbaijan, Armenia and Georgia). Georgia has been repeatedly invited to participate in this format but has not yet joined its work. The first meeting of the platform was held in Moscow in December 2021.
