ICESCO chief visits educational institutions in Shusha and Khankendi PHOTO
The Director-General of the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (ICESCO), Salim bin Mohammed Al-Malik, visited several educational institutions in Shusha and Khankendi during his official trip to Azerbaijan.
According to the Ministry of Science and Education, cited by Caliber.Az, Al-Malik was accompanied by Minister of Science and Education Emin Amrullayev.
The visit began at Secondary School No. 1 in Shusha, where the delegation reviewed the modern learning conditions provided for students and held an informal meeting with pupils.
The programme continued at Karabakh University, where Al-Malik toured the newly constructed university buildings, classrooms, laboratories, and dormitories. He also met with students, exchanging views on the learning environment and opportunities available to them.
A commemorative photo session was held, and University Rector Shahin Bayramov briefed the ICESCO Director-General on the institution’s activities and development.
As part of the trip, the delegation also visited the Karabakh University Clinic. The Director of the clinic and Dean of the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences, Samir Babayev, presented detailed information about the clinic’s current operations, the conditions established for patients and students, and its future plans.
