Israel accuses Hezbollah of five ceasefire violations
Israel’s Foreign Ministry said that Hezbollah has violated the ceasefire five times, accusing the group of continued actions that threaten Israeli forces and civilians.
“Hezbollah has already committed five ceasefire violations.
Israel expects full compliance with the ceasefire.
Hezbollah continues to breach the ceasefire and threaten IDF soldiers and Israeli civilians, including by launching a hostile aircraft toward IDF forces and crossing the Forward Defence Line to approach soldiers, posing an immediate danger,” the ministry said in a statement on X.
The accusations come amid renewed hostilities following a temporary halt in fighting. Earlier, Hezbollah said that on Thursday, April 23, it had carried out an attack on Israeli soldiers in the village of Taybeh in southern Lebanon and had shot down a drone in the Majdal area.
The Israeli military, for its part, reported that it had intercepted an “aerial target” in southern Lebanon.
Hezbollah has maintained that its renewed attacks, which resumed on Tuesday, April 21, are a response to what it describes as Israeli violations of the ceasefire.
The current truce was announced on April 16, when U.S. President Donald Trump said that Israel and Lebanon had agreed to a 10-day ceasefire aimed at reducing tensions along the border.
