Israel intercepts five rockets from Lebanon, plans strikes on Hezbollah targets
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have intercepted five rockets fired from Lebanon, Caliber.Az reports, citing a statement from the IDF's press service.
"After sirens were triggered in the Galilee, Wadi Ara, HaCarmel, Haifa Bay, and HaAmakim areas, five projectiles launched from Lebanon were detected and intercepted by the Israeli Air Force," the statement said.
In response, the Israeli Air Force is preparing to carry out new strikes on Hezbollah targets across various regions of Lebanon, including in Beirut, according to Brigadier General Daniel Hagari, spokesperson for the IDF.
"In the coming hours, we will continue attacking Hezbollah targets throughout Lebanon, including the Dahiya district in Beirut," Hagari announced during a briefing.
In a related development, the IDF has discovered a Hezbollah bunker containing $500 million in cash and gold beneath the Sahil hospital in Beirut.
"The bunker was deliberately placed under the hospital. It holds over half a billion dollars in cash and gold," said Hagari.
He further stated that the site belonged to the late Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, and emphasized that Israeli forces continue to monitor the area. Israel remains committed to disrupting Hezbollah's financial operations.
