Israel launches 73 tons of bombs on Hezbollah intelligence headquarters In Beirut
The Israeli Air Force has conducted a significant bombing raid, dropping 73 tons of munitions on a bunker in Beirut’s Dahiyeh suburb, identified as Hezbollah's primary intelligence headquarters.
Hashim Safi al-Din, who is believed to be a potential successor to current Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, was present at the compound during the attack, Caliber.Az reports per Israeli media.
The immediate outcomes of the airstrike, which targeted key positions of the Shiite militant group, remain unclear.
Earlier reports indicated that the strike aimed to neutralize Safi al-Din, who heads the executive committee of Hezbollah and plays a crucial role in both political affairs and military operations as a member of the Jihad Council.
