Israel says it struck Hezbollah member in southern Lebanon Updated
The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) said it carried out a strike earlier on February 16 targeting a suspected terrorist involved in efforts to reestablish Hezbollah infrastructure in the Hanin area of southern Lebanon.
According to the IDF, the individual’s activities reportedly violated ceasefire understandings between Israel and Lebanon, Caliber.Az reports.
Over the past week, the IDF reported that forces under its 91st Division had neutralised three individuals involved in similar activities and dismantled several structures and engineering vehicles alleged to have been used to support attacks in southern Lebanon.
“The IDF will continue to operate to remove any threat against the State of Israel,” a statement from the military said.
