The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) have confirmed the elimination of Hossam Mansour, a senior figure within the Palestinian militant group Hamas.
Mansour, who was killed in an IDF airstrike, headed Hamas' internal security department and was one of the directors of the Al-Khair organization, which the Israeli military alleges funds terrorism under the guise of humanitarian efforts, Caliber.Az reports per foreign sources.
In a related development, the foreign media reported that dozens of bodies were discovered following an IDF operation in Gaza City.
After the Israeli military withdrew from the urban area of Tell al-Hawa, civil defence forces found at least 60 bodies. The search for more victims and survivors continues amidst the rubble of destroyed buildings. Most of the deceased were entire families, including women and children, according to the Gaza Civil Defence.
