Israeli envoy rejects Iran’s ceasefire violation claims
Israel’s Ambassador to the United States, Yechiel Leiter, dismissed Iranian accusations that Israel violated the ceasefire in southern Lebanon, accusing Tehran of lacking credibility on international agreements.
In a post on X, Leiter responded to reports from Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, which claimed that Israel had breached the ceasefire 84 times over the previous two days following U.S. President Donald Trump’s announcement of an end to the conflict, Caliber.Az reports.

The Israeli diplomat also criticized Iran’s warning that continued Israeli military operations could provoke a “harsh response” from its armed forces.
“What ‘violations’ did the people of Iran commit to deserve the ‘harsh response’ of the Ayatollahs, that took so many of their lives?” he added.
