Israeli media: Pakistan may join international forces in Gaza
Pakistani troops may be included in the International Stabilization Force (ISF) to be deployed in Gaza.
Officials from the Israeli Ministry of Defense made the announcement during a closed briefing for members of the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, Ynet reports.
According to sources, in addition to Pakistan, military personnel from Indonesia and Azerbaijan are also expected to participate in the peacekeeping mission.
Earlier, there had been no reports of Pakistan’s involvement in the international contingent.
The ISF, proposed in Trump's September 29, 2025, White House address, envisions a coalition of Arab and international partners to train Palestinian police, secure aid corridors, and facilitate a technocratic interim government excluding Hamas and the unreformed Palestinian Authority (PA). With U.S. troops limited to coordination outside Gaza, the force—potentially tens of thousands strong—would assume control in phases as the IDF withdraws from 45% of the territory, retaining 55% buffers initially.
Negotiations, ongoing since the ceasefire's activation on October 10, involve guarantors like the U.S., Egypt, Qatar, and Türkiye, but Arab states like Saudi Arabia and the UAE have declined, citing "occupation" fears.
