Israeli Navy targets Hezbollah site in southern Lebanon
21 June 2025 10:36
The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) announced that an Israeli Navy vessel struck a Hezbollah-linked facility in southern Lebanon overnight, as tensions in the region persist.
According to a statement from the IDF press office, the strike targeted infrastructure associated with the Radwan unit, a branch of Hezbollah, in the Nakura area, Caliber.Az reports.
The site, the military said, was allegedly used “to organise terrorist attacks against Israeli civilians,” in what Israel considers a violation of existing agreements with Lebanon.
The operation took place late Friday (June 20) into early Saturday (June 21) and is part of ongoing Israeli efforts to curb Hezbollah's presence and activities along the northern border.
