Journalist Sargsyan: Armenian army has systemic problems
Armenian journalist Voskan Sargsyan has said that the nation’s army has systemic problems.
"Chief of the General Staff Edvard Asryan imitates activity, fearing to lose his position. He rushed to Vardenis and held a meeting. Meanwhile, there is an emergency, two officers were killed in the 2nd Army Corps in one day," Sargsyan wrote on his Facebook page, commenting on the incidents that took place in the Armenian army, as result of which two officers were killed, Caliber.Az reports.
"These tragic incidents are the result of serious systemic problems in the army. These problems exist not only in the 2nd Army Corps but also in the entire army.
Over the past five and a half years, the government of the ruling Civil Contract party of Armenia has not carried out significant reforms in any area, including the army. All sectors of Armenia, including the armed forces, are managed exclusively by Nikol Pashinyan, who is not an expert in any field and is not afraid to make 'decisive mistakes'. The country and society are suffering from their severe consequences,” said Sargsyan.
