Kallas: EU to support Ukraine "until Putin understands his war leads nowhere"
The European Union will continue supporting Ukraine “until Putin understands his war leads nowhere”, EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas has stated.
She made these remarks in a post on X after the EU unblocked a €90 billion loan package for Kyiv, Caliber.Az reports.
“Deadlock over. The EU just cleared the way for the €90-billion-loan for Ukraine and the 20th sanctions package. Russia’s war economy is under growing strain, while Ukraine is getting a major boost,” she wrote.

Russia’s war economy is under growing strain, while Ukraine is getting a major boost.
We will provide Ukraine what it needs to hold its ground, until Putin…
The repair of the Druzhba pipeline cleared the way for the approval of a €90 billion loan package and a new round of sanctions against Russia.
Hungary had been the main country blocking the loan, citing its inability to import Russian oil.
The pipeline also supplies Russian crude to Slovakia, whose government has announced that it has already resumed imports.
The Soviet-era pipeline had been out of service since a Russian drone strike on western Ukraine in late January.
