Karabakh University to offer bilingual education In Azerbaijani and English

Karabakh University, recently established in Khankandi, will conduct its educational programs exclusively in Azerbaijani and English.

This decision aligns with the institution's commitment to providing a modern, bilingual education system, the university said, Caliber.Az reports per local media.

In the first year, students enrolled in programs with English language instruction will have opportunities to enhance their language skills, ensuring they meet the academic requirements of their chosen fields. This initiative is part of a broader effort to cater to the needs of students and align with international educational standards.

The Karabakh University was established by an Order signed by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on November 28, 2023. The university was established to address the demand for highly qualified professionals in the region and to maintain the historical educational traditions of the area. It operates under the Ministry of Science and Education as a public legal entity.

Initially, the university will offer programs across six faculties: Pedagogical, Humanitarian, Economic, Social Sciences, Art, Engineering, and Tourism. For the 2024/2025 academic year, Karabakh University plans to enroll 1,120 students across 27 specialties, reflecting its commitment to broadening educational opportunities and supporting regional development.
