Kyrgyz embassy in Iran halts work
Kyrgyzstan has temporarily suspended the operations of its embassy in Iran, according to a statement issued by the diplomatic mission’s press service, as authorities urged citizens to avoid travel to the country amid the current situation.
The Foreign Ministry recommended that Kyrgyz citizens refrain from visiting Iran until further notice. At the same time, those already in the country have been advised to exercise heightened caution.
According to local media outlet 24.kg, Kyrgyz nationals in Iran were urged to remain vigilant, avoid crowded locations and high-risk areas, and strictly follow instructions issued by local authorities. They were also advised to carry identification documents at all times and closely monitor official communications for updates.
The government provided guidance for those in need of assistance, advising citizens to contact the hotline of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or to seek help from Kyrgyz diplomatic missions located in countries neighboring Iran.
