Kyrgyz president signs decree appointing new prime minister
President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov has signed a decree appointing Adylbek Kasymaliev as the country's new prime minister.
The decree, signed by President Japarov, names Adylbek Kasymaliev as the chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, also serving as the head of the president’s administration, Caliber.Az reports via Russian media.
Earlier the same day, the Kyrgyz parliament approved Kasymaliev’s appointment. President Japarov also signed decrees appointing Daniyar Amangeldiev as first deputy prime minister and Bakyt Sydykov as minister of economy and commerce. These personnel changes in Kyrgyzstan's government began on December 16, following the dismissal of Akylbek Japarov, the former prime minister.
Adylbek Kasymaliev, who was serving as first deputy prime minister during that period, was appointed acting prime minister. Daniyar Amangeldiev, who had previously held the position of minister of economy and commerce, was named acting first deputy prime minister.
