Landmine explosion hits livestock in Azerbaijan's Kalbajar

A mine explosion in Azerbaijan's Kalbajar district injured several head of small livestock, highlighting the continued danger posed by landmines in formerly conflict-affected areas.

The incident occurred in a territory bordering the Lachin district, Caliber.Az reports per local media.

No people were injured in the blast. However, several animals sustained injuries as a result of the explosion.

According to the report, similar mine-related incidents have occurred in the area previously, underscoring the persistent risks posed by explosive remnants in the region.
