London ready to help Yerevan beat military corruption
On March 28-29, a meeting was held in London between the representatives of Armenia and the United Kingdom to discuss their cooperation in the field of defence and combating corruption.
Caliber.Az reports citing the press service of the Armenian Defence Ministry that the delegation from Armenia was led by Hamlet Batikyan, the General Secretary of the Armenian Ministry of Defence, while the British Ministry of Defence was represented by Paul Watt, the Director General for Security Policy, and Guy Lester, the Director of Defence Assurance. The Armenian Ambassador to the UK, Varuzhan Nersesyan, also attended the meeting.
During the discussions, the Armenian side presented its current anti-corruption programmes, and the British side shared their experience and methodology in this field.
The British representatives expressed their willingness to provide necessary assistance to the Armenian Ministry of Defence.
The meeting resulted in several agreements related to the implementation of joint programmes and the provision of expert and methodological assistance.
