Media: Ukrainian leader names top diplomats for further peace negotiations
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has officially approved the composition of the delegation for further negotiations aimed at resolving the conflict in Ukraine.
The decree was published on his official website, marking an important step in the ongoing diplomatic efforts, Caliber.Az reports via Russian media.
The delegation will be led by Head of the Ukrainian presidential office Andriy Yermak. It includes key officials such as Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha, Defence Minister Rustem Umerov and Deputy Head of the President’s Office Pavlo Palisa.
The purpose of this delegation is to engage with Ukraine's international partners and facilitate negotiations aimed at achieving a just and lasting peace. Additionally, Yermak has been authorised, in coordination with Sybiha, to adjust the delegation's composition as needed, including the possibility of involving experts and officials from other institutions to strengthen the negotiation process. This delegation represented Ukraine in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on March 11, during high-level talks with the American side.
Following the meeting, a joint statement was issued, confirming Ukraine's agreement to the US proposal for a 30-day ceasefire. In exchange, Washington has agreed to immediately resume intelligence sharing and military assistance to Kyiv. The statement further emphasised that both parties have committed to swiftly concluding a comprehensive agreement focused on the development of critical mineral resources, a key area of strategic importance for both nations.
